Account & Billing

Learn about our payment, invoicing and more.

Account

Account settings, security, and service limits.

What are account limits?

Each account has limits to ensure platform stability. These include caps on the number of services you can create, such as virtual machines, block storage volumes, and others. These limits help us maintain service quality for all users.

Can I increase my account limits?

Yes, you can request an increase to your service limits. Contact our support team with details about your needs, and we’ll review your request based on your usage history and requirements.

Why do you require a payment method on file?

We require a valid credit or debit card to prevent platform abuse and ensure service availability for legitimate users. This helps us maintain a high-quality infrastructure for all customers while protecting against automated account creation and potential misuse.

How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA)?

You can enable 2FA from your profile settings. Once activated, you’ll receive a one-time password via email during each login attempt, adding an extra layer of security to your account.

Billing

Payment methods, invoicing, and subscription details.

What does pay-as-you-go mean?

Pay-as-you-go means you’re billed hourly for the resources you allocate, such as CPU, RAM, storage etc. You only pay for what you provision, offering flexibility without any upfront commitments or contracts.

When and how am I billed?

You’re billed on the first day of the month for the resources you’ve used in the previous month. The billing period is capped at 28 days (672 hours) per month for predictable costs, regardless of calendar month length.

Do I still get charged for powered-off servers?

Yes, powered-off servers still incur charges as we continue to reserve your allocated resources (CPU, RAM, storage, and IP address). To completely halt charges, you need to destroy the server instance. Consider using snapshots for cost-effective long-term storage of inactive servers.

How can I pay?

We use Stripe as our payment processor and accept all major credit cards. Business customers can arrange wire transfers or purchase orders.

What currency are invoices issued in?

All invoices are issued in euros (EUR), regardless of your location or payment method.

What about bandwidth charges?

Each plan includes generous outbound transfer bandwidth, with overages charged at €0.01 per GB over plan limit. You get unlimited internal transfer within the data center and unlimited inbound transfer from external sources.

Could there be any surprise charges?

No hidden fees – you’ll only pay the listed rates. While optional services and overages (like extra bandwidth) may apply, these are clearly outlined in our pricing details.

Can I get a better rate for higher usage?

Our pay-as-you-go model applies to all accounts. For high-volume needs, contact our sales team to discuss custom pricing options.

How can I predict my costs?

Backup & Recovery

Protect your data with reliable solutions.

Backups

Automated, secure backups to safeguard your critical data.

What are automatic backups?

They’re regularly scheduled copies of your server’s state that protect your data from unexpected issues. Backups are stored in the same data center as your virtual machine, on a fault-tolerant system, ensuring both quick recovery and data redundancy.

How much do they cost?

20% of your virtual machine’s price. For example, if your VM costs €10 per month, backups will add €2 to your monthly bill. This pricing applies regardless of your chosen backup frequency.

How flexible is scheduling?

Choose between daily, weekly, or monthly backups, with the ability to customize the exact day and hour they occur. This helps you align backups with your maintenance windows and operational needs.

What are the storage limits?

The system maintains your 7 most recent backups. They’re stored separately from your VM and don’t count against your storage quota.

What's included in the backup?

Backups cover your entire server state, except for attached block storage volumes. Currently, only full server restores are supported, without individual file recovery options.

What happens when I disable them?

All existing backups for that VM are permanently deleted.

Snapshots

Instant point-in-time copies for quick and efficient recovery.

What are snapshots?

Snapshots capture the entire state of your virtual machine or block storage volume, allowing you to restore it quickly in case of failures or data loss. They provide a simple solution for backups and system recovery.

How are snapshots priced?

Snapshots are priced at €0.05 per GB per month. For example, if you have a 50GB volume, the snapshot will cost €2.50 per month (50GB × €0.05), as we store your entire volume state for restoration purposes.

Am I charged for provisioned space?

Yes. When you create a snapshot, we capture and store the complete state of your volume to ensure data consistency and reliable restoration. Whether you’re using all or just part of your volume, we need to maintain a complete point-in-time copy of your data to guarantee successful recovery when needed. This comprehensive approach ensures you can restore your system to its exact state at the time of the snapshot.

What can I snapshot?

You can create snapshots of both virtual machines and block storage volumes. For VMs, it captures the entire system state. For block storage, it preserves the data on your volumes, protecting against accidental deletion or corruption.

Are there any restrictions?

Snapshots can only be restored to equal or larger disks. This ensures proper data restoration while giving you the flexibility to upgrade storage capacity when needed.

Where are they stored?

Snapshots are stored securely in the same data center as your instance or volume, on a separate fault-tolerant system, ensuring quick access when you need to restore your data.

How do I get started?

Simply select your data center location, choose your project, and pick the instance or block storage volume you want to snapshot. The process captures the entire state of the selected resource at the moment it’s created.
