This Acceptable Usage Policy (“Policy”) is designed to protect the quality, integrity, and security of LifeinCloud services. Our objective is to provide reliable, high-performance hosting solutions to all customers. To achieve this, every client must use our services responsibly and in accordance with this Policy.
The way customers use LifeinCloud services directly impacts the proper functioning of our equipment and network. Maintaining a secure and efficient hosting environment is essential for all users.
General Usage Restrictions
- Programs running continuously in the background are not permitted.
- Running scripts triggered by timers at intervals of less than 5 minutes is not allowed.
- Use of CGI scripts is prohibited.
Prohibited Activities
The following actions are strictly forbidden:
- Using LifeinCloud services to create, host, or distribute malicious software (including viruses, worms, Trojans), to launch denial-of-service attacks, or to engage in mail bombing or flooding.
- Running proxy scripts, IRC services, FormMail-type scripts, PhpShell or similar tools, including commercial scripts with known vulnerabilities; chat rooms, IRC bots, torrent trackers, top sites, or online games (except small browser-based games).
- Collecting or processing personal information for illicit purposes.
- Unauthorized access to data, systems, or networks (including phishing, spoofing, hacking, sniffing, or proxying), as well as probing, scanning, or testing vulnerabilities without explicit authorization.
- Any interference with services provided to another customer or server, such as deliberate overloading, mail bombing, or flooding.
- Falsification of TCP/IP packets.
- Uploading viruses, corrupted files, or other harmful applications.
- Restricting, preventing, or interfering with another user’s ability to use LifeinCloud services.
- Collecting third-party data or email addresses without consent.
Any attempt to damage LifeinCloud servers or other customers is strictly prohibited. Any activity affecting the performance, stability, or security of our network will be considered abuse. Scripts that pose potential risks will be closed or removed without prior notice.
LifeinCloud reserves the right to remove, block, or suspend any account, application, or activity that poses a threat to our infrastructure or infringes on third-party rights.
Email Usage
To ensure proper functioning of email services, customers must comply with the following rules:
- Sending unsolicited commercial communications (spam) is prohibited unless the recipient has given explicit prior consent.
- Mailing lists or newsletters may only be operated with proper opt-in/opt-out mechanisms (double opt-in recommended).
- Any commercial email must include clear and visible unsubscribe options.
Bulk Email Recommendations
Because bulk mail impacts server performance, we strongly recommend:
- Sending during off-peak hours (before 09:00 or after 22:00).
- Limiting sending speed to a few dozen emails per minute.
Failure to follow these practices may result in:
- Mail server congestion or downtime.
- Blacklisting of LifeinCloud IP addresses, affecting all customers.
- Emails being blocked or marked as spam by providers (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo).
- Significant delays in delivery.
- Delivery failures to certain destination servers.
LifeinCloud does not impose a strict hourly sending limit but actively monitors SMTP traffic. We reserve the right to intervene, including by deleting excessive messages and contacting the customer, if email usage negatively impacts our infrastructure.
- Maximum attachment size: 25 MB.
- Maximum recipients per message: 25.
- CC/BCC bulk sending is strongly discouraged due to delivery and blocking risks.
To prevent adverse effects on service operation, LifeinCloud may limit email parameters at any time if service quality or stability is at risk.
Email Delivery Disclaimer
LifeinCloud cannot guarantee delivery of every email message. Delivery may be affected by factors including (but not limited to):
- Full or inactive recipient mailboxes.
- Sending IPs appearing on third-party blacklists.
- Failures or misconfigurations of sending/receiving mail servers.
- Internal or external network issues.
- Aggressive spam filtering by recipient servers.
- Email content flagged as spam by sender/recipient systems.
- Attachments exceeding recipient server limits.
- Temporary rejections (e.g., greylisting policies).
Enforcement
Violation of this Policy may result in suspension or termination of services without prior notice. LifeinCloud reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and take any action necessary to protect its infrastructure, customers, and third parties.
